Andean ritual to open paths and attract opportunities.

This ritual originates from the ancient spiritual practices of the Q'ero peoples, who made offerings to Pachamama to bless the harvests, protect their work and give thanks for the fruits of the earth. Traditionally these ceremonies are performed especially during the month of August, considered the sacred time to nourish Mother Earth.

Connection with the flow of abundance

During the ceremony a sacred table or offering (despacho) is prepared, composed of different natural elements representing abundance, fertility and prosperity. The despacho symbolically represents the spiritual seed that the person sows in the earth.

Sacred elements

  • Coca leaves: sacred bridge to communicate petitions and gratitude to Pachamama.
  • Chicha and beverages: used for the "challay", sprinkling the earth as a gesture of respect.
  • Foods and sweets: corn, beans and fruits that symbolize fertility and good wishes.
  • Ritual elements: llama fat, incense and colored wools representing vital harmony.
