Accompanying the soul toward peace.

According to the Andean worldview, when a person passes away their spirit begins a journey toward the Hanan Pacha, the higher plane where spirits of light dwell. During this process, the soul may need prayer, light and spiritual guidance to continue its journey peacefully and in balance.

This ritual also provides a space for emotional healing for the family, allowing them to say goodbye from a place of love, close pending cycles, and transform the pain of grief into a memory full of gratitude and respect.

Guide and light for the journey: the sacred process

In this ceremony, the Maestros Paqo Q'ero perform a sacred ritual using a white despacho, flowers, candles and coca leaves, elements that symbolize purity, light and spiritual connection.

Through prayers and offerings to Pachamama and the protective spirits of nature, it is requested that the soul of the loved one find peace and be able to rise toward its corresponding plane.

Tradition on the Day of the Dead

This ceremony can also be performed during the Day of the Dead, a very important tradition in the Andes. On these dates it is believed that spirits spiritually return to visit their families.
