Offering to Pachamama for openings and celebrations.

In the Andean worldview, before beginning a project, a celebration, or a new venture, it is essential to honor Pachamama (Mother Earth). This act of reciprocity allows us to give thanks for what nature provides and ask for blessings for the path that begins.

This ceremony is guided by Q'ero Paqo Masters, who perform prayers and sacred offerings to balance the spiritual and material energies of the place and the participating people.

Importance of the ceremony

  • Reciprocity and respect: the ceremony is based on the principle of Ayni, which represents the balance between giving and receiving. By offering an offering to Pachamama, we symbolically return a part of what nature gives us.
  • Success and prosperity: this ceremony is performed to attract good omens, well-being, health, and prosperity in the new project, business, or event that begins.
  • Permission and protection: permission is asked from Mother Earth to use a physical space. This helps to harmonize the place, avoid negative energies, and attract blessings for the people involved.
  • Spiritual connection: it strengthens the connection with nature and allows participants to honor the Andean tradition, generating an atmosphere of respect, gratitude, and harmony.
